Permaculture as pattern and metaphor in the classroom

As a permaculturist who is also a classroom teacher  and a designer of curriculum, I often seen patterns in my classroom that mirror permaculture principles, and elements in nature that serve as metaphor for my teaching.  The following short essays are based on these observations, metaphorical interactions, and musing.  They are not all complete: in some cases I have simply set up the title as a reminder to myself to write the essay!
